Eastern slaw

1 large Head green cabbage; shredded
¼ cup Minced green onions
2 cups Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Sugar; plus
2 teaspoons Sugar; (or less, to taste)
2 tablespoons Cider vinegar; plus
2 teaspoons Cider vinegar
1½ tablespoon Celery seed; (optional, leave it out if you don't like it)
½ teaspoon Salt

This is a recipe attributed to Willis Peaden, Havelock, NC: Mix it all together; it tastes good, I've had it and can say. Makes 11c.

This is an eastern North Carolina cole slaw recipe endorsed by my tarheel wife.
