Scotch shortbread #1

Yield: 12 Servings

Measure Ingredient
¾ pounds Butter
¼ pounds Sugar
½ pounds Flour
¼ pounds Cornstarch

Knead sugar & butter with hands until well mixed; then knead in cornstarch & lastly the flour. The more time spent kneading the better the final product. Break off small pieces; press into flat circles; decorate with back of fork. Start baking in preheated 375 degree oven. Immediately reduce temperature to 300& bake for 1 hour. True Scotch short bread improves with age.
