Grape-nuts® quick bread

1 | cup | Grape-Nuts® Cereal |
2 | cups | Buttermilk, or sour milk |
1 | teaspoon | Baking soda |
2 | Egg whites, or 1 egg | |
1 | cup | Sugar |
4 | cups | Whole-wheat flour |
4 | teaspoons | S, baking powder |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | tablespoon | On, canola oil |
Directions
Mix Grape Nuts and milk; add soda; stir well. Stir in remaining ingredients and combine thoroughly (batter will be very stiff). Place in two well greased loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. When done remove from pans and brush top of loaves with melted butter.
