Baptist pound cake

Yield: 10 Servings

Measure Ingredient
3 cups Sugar
1 \N Stick margarine
½ cup Crisco
5 \N Eggs, rm temp
\N \N Pinch of salt
1 cup Milk
3 cups Plain flour
1 teaspoon Canilla
½ teaspoon Baking powder
1 tablespoon Butternut flavoring

Cream together sugar, butter, and shortening; add eggs, one at a time. Mix well after each. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt; add alternately with milk and flour to first mixture. Add flavorings.

Grease and flour pan. Place in cold over. Turn heat to 350F, and bake ½ hour. then turn heat to 325F and bake 40 minutes more. Let stand 5 minutes after taking from oven.
