Aunt christa's fresh apple cake

Ingredients

| ¾ | cup | Margarine (1 1/2 sticks) |
| 2 | cups | Sugar |
| 2 | larges | Eggs |
| 2 | teaspoons | Soda |
| 2 | teaspoons | Cinnamon |
| ½ | teaspoon | Salt |
| 2 | cups | Sifted flour |
| 4 | cups | Apples, finely chopped |
| 1 | cup | Nuts, chopped (optional) |
Directions
Cream margarine and sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs. Beat well.
Sift dry ingredients. Addto sugar mixture. Mix well Add apples and nuts. Mix well until apples are disstributed and coated in batter.
Pour into a well greased and floured 13x9" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
