Measure | Ingredient |

¾ cup | Ground beef |
¾ cup | Potato; raw, coarsely ground |
¼ cup | Onion; coarsely ground |
2 tablespoons | Green bell pepper; chopped |
1 teaspoon | Salt |
1 \N | Egg |
\N \N | Drippings or fat |
1 cup | Tomato juice |
1 tablespoon | Flour |
Mix all ingredient except fat, tomateo, and flour. Form into 4 patties.
Brown patties on both sides in fat in skillet. Add tomateo juice. Cover and simmer slowly until done, about 25 minutes. Remove and serve hot. Mix flour with a little water and stir slowly into tomato juice. cook slowly, stirring constantly until thickened. Pour sauce over cakes.
NOTES : Also works as a small casserole type dish. Than add 1 C. corn.
