Lemon-apple-hazelnut sauce

Ingredients

| ¾ | cup | Sugar |
| 3 | tablespoons | Cornstarch |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
| ¾ | cup | Water |
| ½ | cup | Lemon juice |
| 20 | ounces | Canned apple pie filling |
| ½ | cup | Oregon hazelnuts, roasted & chopped |
Directions
Mix together sugar, cornstarch and salt in a 1-quart glass bowl.
Gradually stir in the water. Microwave for 3 to 4 minutes or until thick and clear. Stir a couple of times while cooking. Gradually add the lemon juice and stir to blend. Add the pie filling and hazelnuts.
Spoon over gingerbread, pound cake or use as pie filling.
