Kitchen Staff Tip: For a great homemade Honey Barbecue Sauce, combine the following ingredients in a large saucepan: 2 pints vinegar, 16 oz. ketchup, 16 oz. French or Western Salad Dressing, ½ cup sugar, 1 Tbs. lemon juice, 1 Tbs. ground red pepper, 1 Tbs. ground black pepper, ½ tsp. salt, and ½ cup honey. Simmer on low heat until the sauce is thick and creamy. As an option, add 1 or ½ Tbs. liquid smoke during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
