Classic fudge frosting

Measure Ingredient
4 ounces Unsweetened chocolate
3 tablespoons Butter
3 cups Confectioner's sugar
4 tablespoons Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla
\N pinch Salt

In top of boiler over simmering water, melt chocolate & butter, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove top part of boiler; cool chocolate until warm to the touch. In medium bowl, combine sugar, milk, vanilla & salt, stirring until well blended. Stir in melted chocolate until thoroughly combined. Frosting will be thick as it cools; spread quickly on cooled cake. If too thick to spread, add 1-2 Tbls. additional milk.
