Creamy fudge frosting

Ingredients

QuantityIngredient
2cupsSugar
3tablespoonsCocoa
cupWhite corn syrup
½cupMilk
1tablespoonButter
1teaspoonSalt

Directions

Combine in saucepan the sugar, cocoa, corn syrup & milk. Bring to a hard boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Cool 15 minutes. Add butter & vanilla. (Be sure your timing is accurate.) Beat until the right consistency for spreading. Makes enough for two 8- or 9-inch layer cakes or 2 dozen cupcakes.
