Raw cranberry salad

Ingredients

2 | cups | Cranberries, fresh; 1/2 lb. |
1 | cup | Sugar |
1 | cup | Apples; unpeeled, diced |
1 | cup | Grape halves, fresh |
1 | cup | Orange sections, fresh |
½ | cup | Pecans; chopped (or walnuts) |
Lettuce | ||
¼ | cup | Cream, heavy; whipped |
¼ | cup | Mayonnaise |
Directions
Wash cranberries and put through a food chopper, using coarse blade.
Add sugar, and let drain overnight in refrigerator. (Save juice to use in punch or molded salads.) Combine drained cranberries, apples, grapes, oranges, and nuts. Toss lightly. Serve on lettuce. Blend heavy cream with mayonnaise and serve over salad.
