Yield: 10 servings
|1||Jar pizza sauce -- 14oz|
|1 cup||Mozzarella cheese --|
|1 cup||Italian bread crumbs|
|¼ teaspoon||Garlic salt|
|2 pounds||Ground beef, extra lean|
|½ pounds||Italian sausage -- bulk|
In a large bowl, beat eggs, Add ¾ cup of pizza sauce, cheese, bread crumbs, garlic salt and pepper; mix well. Combine beef and sausage; add to egg mixture and mix well. Press into a 9x5x3 in. loaf pan.
Bake at 35o deg. for 1¼ hr. Drain. Spoon remaining pizza sauce over meat loaf; bake 15 min. longer or until no pink remains. Let stand 10 minutes bvefore slicing. Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
