Master mix recipe

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
20 cups All-Purpose flour
2 tablespoons Cream of Tartar
2½ cup Dry Milk
½ cup Sugar
¾ cup Baking Powder
4 cups Shortening
3 tablespoons Salt

Measure all ingredients accurately. Stir the flour, dry milk, salt, baking powder, cream of tartar and sugar together until well blended in a large bowl. Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender or your hands until evenly distributed and resembles coarse meal. Store this mix in an air-tight container such as a plastic ice cream container.

Keep at room temperature in a dark place. Keeps 4 weeks at cool temperature.

Use this mix in place of Bisquick in any recipe.
