|9 cups||Sifted all-purpose flour|
|2 cups||Crisco shortening|
|3 tablespoons||Baking powder|
|½ cup||Grated American cheese|
FOR CHEESE BISCUITS
Stir baking powder, salt & sugar into flour. Sift together 3 times into large mixing bowl. Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mix is consistency of cornmeal. Store in a tightly covered container at room temperature. To measure mix, pile it lightly into a standard cup & level off with a spatula. BISCUITS; Stir ingredients & roll as for other biscuits. Bake at 450 until done. PANCAKES: Stir ingredients together & grill as usual. CHEESE BISCUITS: Mix ingredients, bake as for biscuits.
MUFFINS: Mix & bake at 425.
