Maple cherry syrup

½cupPacked brown sugar
¼cupHoney
1eachOrange -- juice of one
Orange
1teaspoonOrange peel -- grated
½eachLemon -- juice of 1/2 lemon
½teaspoonLemon peel -- grated
1tablespoonButter or margarine
½teaspoonGround cinnamon
½cupTart cherries -- dried
Chopped

Directions

In a medium saucepan, combine the first seven ingredients. Bring to boil over med. heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer 10 min. Add cherries. Cook for 2 min. Serve over cornmeal pancakes, waffles or French toast. Yield: 1½ cups.
