Mandarin orange salad 2

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
¼ cup Sliced almonds
1 tablespoon Plus
1 teaspoon Sugar
¼ \N Head lettuce
¼ bunch Romaine
1 cup Celery chopped
2 \N Green onions thinly sliced
1 can (11 oz) mandarin oranges packed in juice
½ cup Oil
4 tablespoons Sugar
4 tablespoons Vinegar
2 tablespoons Snipped parsley
1 teaspoon Salt
1 dash Pepper

DRESSING

Mix almonds and sugar together in frying pan over low heat until sugar is melted. Dump out of frying pan. Let cool and break apart. Make salad and dressing. Add candied almonds in.

If you don't have time, you can use a store bought vinegrette. I sometimes substitute all romaine or all spinach for the iceberg lettuce.
