Homemade fudge sauce

Yield: 3 servings

Measure Ingredient
1¼ cup Sugar
1 cup Dutch processed unsweetened cocoa powder
½ teaspoon Cinnamon
1 cup Heavy cream
½ cup Milk
¼ cup Hazlenut or other nut flavored liqueur
½ cup Butter, cut in eight pieces
2 teaspoons Vanilla


Mix together sugar, cocoa, and cinnamon in large heavy bottomed saucepan until no lumps remain. Add cream, milk , and liqueur and stir until smooth. Bring to a boil; boil 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, cool 15 minutes, stir in butter until melted. Stir in vanilla. Cool to room temperature.
