Green goddess salad dressing

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Mayonaise
½ cup Commercial sour cream
⅓ cup Finely minced parsley
3 tablespoons Finely minced chives or green onions
3 tablespoons Anchovy paste or finely minced anchovies
3 tablespoons Tarragon wine vinegar
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
1 \N Clove garlic; crushed or grated
\N \N Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
\N 2 cups dressing.

Combine all ingredients. Chill; it mellows and thickens on standing. Makes I found this recipe in an old Betty Crocker cookbook and it says, "Most popular at a large San Francisco hotel. Especially delicious on salad greens and sea food. For a milder flavored thicker dressing ,omit vinegar.
