Everyday herb rice

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 tablespoon Dried onion flakes
½ tablespoon Dried celery flakes
2 tablespoons Dried parsley
½ teaspoon Dried garlic flakes
1 tablespoon Dried green pepper flakes
½ teaspoon Ground tumeric
1 tablespoon Chicken flavored granules or bouillion
1 teaspoon Sugar
¼ teaspoon Salt
1 pinch Ground cloves
½ cup Wild OR brown rice
2½ cup Water
1 cup Chopped scallion, green with some white

In a small bowl, combine the first 10 ingredients. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice, water, and the herb mixture. Bring to a boil, partially cover, lower the heat, and simmer for 45 minutes, or until the rice is cooked. Fluff with a fork. Fold in the scallions and serve at once.

Per serving: 174 calories, 37g carb., 7g protein, 0mg chol., .6g/3% fat.
