Crown jewel salad

Yield: 8 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 pack Gelatin, unflavored
¾ cup Water; cold
¾ cup Mayonnaise
3 ounces Cream cheese; softened
6 ounces Gelatin, lemon-flavored
2 cups Water; boiling
1½ cup Ginger ale
1 cup Grapes, seedless; sliced
1 cup Banana slices
½ cup Cherries, maraschino; sliced

Soften gelatin in cold water; stir over low heat until dissolved.

Combine salad dressing and cream cheese, mixing until well blended.

Stir in softened gelatin and blend well. Pour into a 2-quart mold; chill until firm.

Dissolve lemon-flavored gelatin in boiling water; add ginger ale.

Chill until slighlty thickened. Fold in grapes, banana slices, and cherries. Pour over molded gelatin layer. Chill until firm.
