Chocolate chip cookies (quaker)

Yield: 72 Cookies

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Butter or margarine; soft
1 cup Granulated sugar
1 cup Brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 cups Sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Soda
¾ teaspoon Salt
3 cups Quaker Oats, uncooked (quick or old-fashioned)
6 ounces Semi-sweet chocolate pieces
½ cup Chopped walnuts

Beat butter and sugars together until creamy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture; blend well. Stir in oats, chocolate pieces, and walnuts.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cooky sheets. Bake in preheated moderate oven (375 F) 10 to 12 minutes.
