Yield: 72 Cookies
|1 cup||Butter or margarine; soft|
|1 cup||Granulated sugar|
|1 cup||Brown sugar, firmly packed|
|2 cups||Sifted all-purpose flour|
|3 cups||Quaker Oats, uncooked (quick or old-fashioned)|
|6 ounces||Semi-sweet chocolate pieces|
|½ cup||Chopped walnuts|
Beat butter and sugars together until creamy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture; blend well. Stir in oats, chocolate pieces, and walnuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cooky sheets. Bake in preheated moderate oven (375 F) 10 to 12 minutes.
