Quaker choc-oat-chip cookies

Yield: 60 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup (2 sticks) margarine or but
1¼ cup Firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup Granulated sugar
2 xes Eggs
2 tablespoons Milk
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1¾ cup All-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Baking soda
½ teaspoon Salt (optional)
2½ cup Quaker oats (quick or old-
\N \N Fashioned, uncooked)
2 cups (1 12-oz. pkg.) semi-sweet
\N \N Chocolate morsels
1 cup Coarsely chopped nuts
\N \N (optional)

Heat oven to 375. Beat margarine and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla; beat well. Add flour, baking soda and salt, mix well. Stir in

oats, chocolate morsels and nuts; mix well. Drop by rounded measuring tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. (for easy bar cookies press dough instead into bottom of ungreased 13 X 9 inch baking pan.) Bake cookies 9 to 10 mins for chewy and 12 to 13 for crispy (bake bar cookies 35 to 40 mins until light golden brown). Cookies: cool 1 min on cookie sheet; move to wire rack. Cool completely. ABout 5 dozen cookies.
