Quaker's choc-oat-chip cookies

Yield: 5 dozen

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Margarine/butter softened
1¼ cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
½ cup Granulated Sugar
2 \N Eggs
2 tablespoons Milk
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1¾ cup All-purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
½ teaspoon Salt, (optional)
2½ cup Quaker Old Fashioned Oats,
\N \N Uncooked
2 cups Semi-sweet choolate morsels
1 cup Nuts, coarsely chopped -
\N \N (optional)

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat margarine & sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well. Add flour, baking soda 7& salt; mix well. Stir in oats, chocolate morsels & nuts; mix well. Drop by rounded measuring Tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 10 minutes for a cchewy cookie or 12 to 13 minutes for a ccrispy cookie. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Cool completely.
