Basic candy popcorn

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Water
1 cup Sugar
⅜ cup White corn syrup
1 tablespoon Butter
\N \N Oil of peppermint *
2 drops Food coloring
½ cup Popcorn; popped

In a heavy saucepan put the water, sugar, corn syrup and butter. Cook over a moderate heat to 280~ on a candy thermomter. Add the oil and the food coloring.

Stir well and pour over the popped corn.
