Apple raisin drop

Yield: 4 Servings

Measure Ingredient
2 cups Seedless raisins
1½ cup Water
1½ cup Sugar
1 cup Shortening
1 teaspoon Vanilla
3 Eggs
3½ cup Flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Salt
1½ teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Nutmeg
¼ teaspoon Cloves
1 cup Quick cooked rolled oats
1 Apple; unpeeled (finely dice)

Heat raisins and water to boil, simmer 5 minutes. Cool water and raisins.

Cream sugar, shortening and vanilla. Add eggs and beat well. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and spices. Add this mixture with raisin water and sugar mixture. Add oats, raisins and apple. Chill several hours.

Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees.
