1 teaspoon | Baking soda; (bicarbonate) |
½ cup | Raisins; up to 1 |
1 cup | Chopped nuts; (optional) |
4 larges | Apples; peeled and diced. |
Recipe by: Merle Gutkin (my sister in London) (Preheat oven to 325 deg. F.)
1. Beat eggs, sugar & oil.
2. Add baking soda, flour, salt.
3. Stir in pre-soaked raisins and apples. (soak raisins in boiling water or liquer of your choice for about ½ hour, then drain.) 4. Pour into greased, shallow pan, bake at 325 deg. F. 45 minutes - 1 hour.
