Peg moore's sloppy joes

Ingredients

| 1 | pack | Hamburger buns |
| ***Meat Mixture*** | ||
| ¼ | cup | Onion, chopped |
| 3 | tablespoons | Green pepper, chopped |
| 1 | pounds | Hamburger (lean) |
| 2 | tablespoons | Butter or margarine |
| ***Sauce*** | ||
| ½ | cup | Tomato sauce |
| 2 | tablespoons | Brown sugar |
| ½ | cup | Ketchup |
| 1 | teaspoon | Prepared mustard |
| 3 | tablespoons | Vinegar |
| 1 | cup | Celery, diced |
Directions
Saute the onion, green pepper, and hamburger in the 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the salt. (I omit the salt entirely) Sauce: Mix in bowl and add to the meat mixture.
Simmer for ½ hour. If soupy add 1 teaspoon of corntarch.
Note: This is one of our favorites. The recipe is easily doubled.
