Mom's brownies

Ingredients

| ⅓ | cup | Butter, NO margarine |
| 2 | 1 oz squares chocolate, unsweetened | |
| 2 | larges | Island eggs |
| 1 | cup | Sugar |
| ⅔ | cup | Flour |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
| ½ | teaspoon | Baking powder |
| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
| ½ | cup | Macadamia nuts, chopped* |
Directions
* other nuts may be substituted Melt butter and chocolate over double boiler. In a medium bowl, beat eggs. Add sugar gradually, beating well.
Blend in chocolate mixture. Sift dry ingredients and blend into mixture.
Add vanilla and nuts. Bake in a greased 8x8x2 inch pan for 20-25 minutes at 350 degree oven. Cool before cutting into squares.
