5Fresh mint leaves
1teaspoonSimple syrup (3 parts sugar to 1 part boiling water)
Finely crushed ice
ounceBourbon
Powdered sugar

Directions

Place mint leaves in julep glass. Add simple syrup and crush leaves. Fill glass with crushed ice. Add bourbon; stir. Decorate with powdered sugar and additional mint leaves.
