Lemon bread #1

Yield: 12 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Butter; softened
2 cups Sugar
4 \N Eggs
3 cups Flour
½ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Soda
1 cup Buttermilk
1 \N Lemon rind; grated
1 cup Chopped nuts
1 cup Sugar
3 \N Lemons; juice of


Cream butter and sugar. Add remaining bread ingredients, mixing well. Put into two greased loaf pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Mix glaze ingredients. Glaze the bread while it is still warm.
