In a mixing glass, gently muddle simple syrup, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 3 or 4 mint leaves.
Fill pint glass with ice. Shake all ingredients well and strain using a spring strainer over fresh ice. Top with club soda and garnish with fresh mint leaves and a lemon wheel.
