Hot spiced claret

Measure Ingredient
2 tablespoons Sugar
2 tablespoons Lemon juice
½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
½ cup Hot water
1 \N Bottle
\N \N Claret wine - 4/5-qt.

In slow-cooking pot, combine sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and water. Stir until well blended. Pour in wine. Cover pot; heat on low 2 to 2½ hours. Serve hot from the pot.
