Herbed pecan rub

Ingredients

½ | cup | Pecans -- broken |
3 | Cloves garlic -- cut up | |
½ | cup | Fresh oregano |
½ | cup | Fresh thyme |
½ | teaspoon | Lemon peel -- finely |
Shredded | ||
½ | teaspoon | Black pepper |
¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
¼ | cup | Cooking oil |
Directions
In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients EXCEPT oil.
Cover and blend several times, scaping sides, until a paste forms.
With machine running, gradually add oil until mixture forms a paste.
Rub onto fish or chicken.
Makes ½ cup, enough for 3 pounds of meat.
