Herbed cheese mashed potatoes

Ingredients

3poundsPotatoes; peeled & quartered
¼cupMargarine
¾cupGreen onions; sliced
1tablespoonBasil; chopped
1tablespoonChives; chopped
1tablespoonDill; chopped
1teaspoonSalt
½teaspoonPepper
cupCheddar cheese; shredded
½cupMilk

Directions

In large pot of boiling salted water, cook potatoes 20 to 25 minutes or until tender. Drain in colander. Add margarine and green onions to cooking pot; cook over medium heat 1 minute. Stir in basil, chives, dill, salt and pepper. Return drained potatoes to pot over low heat. Add cheddar cheese and milk. Mash with potato masher.
