Ella's fudge

Ingredients

| 2 | cups | Sugar |
| ⅔ | cup | Evaporated milk |
| 12 | Marshmallows | |
| ½ | cup | Butter |
| Few grains salt (optional) | ||
| 1 | pack | (6-oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips (or butterscotch) |
| 1 | cup | Chopped nuts |
| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
Directions
Mix in heavy 2-quart saucepan sugar, milk, marshmallows, butter and salt.
Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat and bring to heavy boil. Boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted. Add nuts and vanilla. Spread in 8-inch square pan. (Christmas is not complete without Ella's fudge!) Makes 30 pieces.
