Cranberry port relish

Measure Ingredient
3 cups (12-oz pkg) fresh or frozen cranberries
1 medium Onion minced
⅓ cup Cider vinegar
1 cup Golden raisins
1 cup Sugar
1½ cup Port
½ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon Ground ginger
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon

Combine all ingredients except cranberries in heavy saucepan. Bring to boil then simmer for 15 minutes.

Add cranberries and simmer another 20-30 minutes.

Towards the end the relish gets very thick. Make sure you stir it often, since it will stick to the pan.
