¾ | cup | Chopped celery |
3 | tablespoons | Instant minced onion |
1¼ | cup | Water |
½ | cup | Uncooked converted rice |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | can | Condensed chicken with rice soup |
1 | can | (4 oz) slice mushrooms; drained |
1 | tablespoon | Packed brown sugar |
2 | tablespoons | Soy sauce |
1 | teaspoon | Butter or margerine |
Directions
Cook and stir ground beef, celery and onion in skillet until beef is brown; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients.
OVEN METHOD: Pour into greased 2 qt. casserole dish. Cook uncovered in 350 degree oven 30 minutes; stir. Cook until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, about 30 minutes longer.
RANGE TOP METHOD: Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, about 30 minutes.
