Chocolate rum frosting

¼cup(1/2 stick) butter, softened
8ouncesCream cheese, softened
16ouncesPowdered sugar, divided
3ouncesMelted unsweetened chocolate
¼cupRum
Milk, if needed

Directions

With electric mixer at medium speed, beat butter and cream cheese until creamy. Add half the powdered sugar and the chocolate; mix well. On low speed, add remaining powdered sugar and rum; beat until mixture is of spreading consistency, adding a few drops of milk if it is too thick. Use as directed to frost chocolate rum cake.
