Butter loaf pound cake

Yield: 10 Servings

Measure Ingredient
¾ cup Butter
¾ cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1¼ cup Sifted flour
3 \N Eggs (richer- use 3 yolks
\N \N And 1 whole)
½ teaspoon Baking powder
½ teaspoon Salt
\N \N (and if batter is too thick
\N \N I add 1/4 c milk or cream)

Cream butter, gradually add sugar, creaming till light. Add vanilla, then eggs, one at a time beating each time. Sift dry ingredients; stir in. Grease bottom only of 9x5x3 in loaf pan; turn in bater. Bake at 350F for 50 minutes till done. Cool in pan.
