Yield: 28 servings
Measure | Ingredient |
---|---|
½ small | Onion -- minced |
1 \N | Garlic clove -- minced |
2 tablespoons | Butter |
1 cup | Ketchup |
¼ cup | Bourbon |
2 tablespoons | Maple syrup |
2 tablespoons | Worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon | Mustard powder |
1 teaspoon | Salt |
1 teaspoon | Chili powder |
Saute onions and garlic in butter in a heavy saucepan. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer 10 minutes. Use to paste meats for grilling. Simmer 10-15 minutes longer to reduce to a thicker sauce for serving with cooked meats. Especially good for ribs or pork chops. Makes a little less than 2 cups, about 28 one-tablespoon servings.
