Barbecue dipping sauce

Ingredients

3cupsChopped Spanish Sweets from Idaho-Eastern Oregon
2tablespoonsMinced garlic
6tablespoonsOlive oil
6cupsTomato sauce
½cupBeer
½cupCider vinegar
½cupBrown sugar
2tablespoonsWorcestershire sauce
2teaspoonsCrushed red pepper flakes
2teaspoonsBlack pepper

Directions

Saute onions and garlic in oil in a large saucepan over medium heat until softened. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer until slightly thickened, about 15 minutes. Serve warm. Makes 6 cups.
