Yorkshire dinner

Ingredients

1 | pounds | Lean ground beef |
½ | cup | Chopped onion |
1½ | teaspoon | Salt, divided |
⅛ | teaspoon | Pepper |
1 | cup | Unsifted flour |
¾ | cup | Milk |
1 | Egg | |
½ | cup | Hellmann's mayonnaise |
Directions
Crumble beef into an 8 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with onion, ½ teaspoon of the salt and pepper. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 10 minutes. Remove. Stir together flour and remaining salt. Add milk, stir until smooth. Beat together egg and mayonnaise, add to flour mixture, beat well. Pour over beef mixture. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 30 minutes, or until golden. Pour off fat.
