1 | each | Green pepper, chopped |
2 | tablespoons | Butter, melted |
2 | cups | Milk |
2 | packs | (@ 1 1/4 oz. ea.) cheese sauce mix |
1 | pounds | Frozen french fries |
1 | can | (@ 7 oz.) tuna |
1 | cup | Sliced black olives |
8 | ounces | Plain yogurt |
1 | teaspoon | Seasoned pepper |
1 | teaspoon | Ground celery seed |
Directions
YIELD: 4 SERVINGS
Preheat oven to 400F. In a medium saucepan, saute onion and green pepper in butter. Combine milk with cheese sauce mix and add to saucepan. Stir over medium heat until thick and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in all remaining ingredients except french fries.
Spread half the fries in an 8-inch square baking pan and top with all of the cheese sauce mixture. Layer the top with remaining fries. Bake 30 minutes or until fries are golden brown. Adapted from a 70's newspaper clipping.
