Sweet and sour hamburgers

| ¼ | cup | Cider vinegar |
| ¼ | cup | Packed brown sugar |
| 1 | can | Pineapple chunks; juice of |
| 3 | tablespoons | Packed cornstarch |
| ½ | teaspoon | Salt |
| 1 | tablespoon | Soy sauce |
| 1½ | pounds | Hamburger |
| ½ | cup | Minced onion |
| ½ | cup | Sliced green bell pepper |
| 1 | can | Pineapple chunks (from above) |

OTHER INGREDIENTS
Fry hamburger patties smaller & thicker than for buns; brown well. Combine sauce ingredients & cook until clear & slightly thickened, stirring often.
Add meat & simmer over low heat for 30 minutes or until tender. Add remaining ingredients & cook for 2 minutes. Serve over hot rice.
