Summertime fruit punch

Yield: 1 gallon

Measure Ingredient
1 \N Orange; grated rind of
1 \N Lemon; grated rind of
2 cups Wate
2 cups Sugar
2 teaspoons Almond extract
3 cups Orange juice, fresh; straind
1½ cup Lemon juice, fresh; strained
48 ounces Cranberry juice cocktail
1 quart Ginger ale

Combine orange and lemon rind, water, and sugar in a medium saucepan.

Bring to a boil, and simmer 5 minutes; let cool. Stir in almond extract and fruit juice. Pour over ice; stir in ginger ale.
