Spicy braised cabbage

Ingredients

1smallPurple onion -- chopped
1teaspoonSalt
¼teaspoonRed pepper flakes
½teaspoonCurry powder
½teaspoonGarlic powder
¼teaspoonPowdered ginger
½teaspoonChili powder
2ouncesPeanut oil
2poundsCabbage -- cut in 1\" wedges
1cupStock

Directions

In a 3 quart saucepan saut the onions and spices in oil until the onions are tender. Add the cabbage and saut until the cabbage just begins to lose its crispness. Add the stock and simmer for 5 minutes.
