Spiced applesauce salad

Yield: 12 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 pack (6-oz) lemon jello
½ cup "red hots" cinnamon candy
2½ cup Boiling water
2 cups Unsweetened applesauce
2 tablespoons Lemon juice
2 packs (3-oz) cream cheese
¼ cup Milk (up to)
3 tablespoons Mayonnaise
½ cup Chopped nuts (i use toasted almonds)

Dissolve candy and Jello in boiling water. Add applesauce and lemon juice.

Chill until partially set. Blend cheese, milk, mayonnaise and nuts. Swirl into mixture. Chill until firm in a 9x12 pyrex dish. Cut into squares.

Serve with a dab of mayonnaise or just plain.

This is a delicious "make ahead" salad and goes with anything.
