|1 pack||Red jello (small pk.)|
|2 tablespoons||Red hot heart candies|
|1½ teaspoon||Lemon flavor|
|1 cup||Boiling water|
|1||Env. Knox gelatine|
|1 can||Applesauce (#2 can)|
Drop red hots in boiling water and simmer until dissolved. Pour over jello and dissolve. Dissolve Knox gelatine in small amount of cold water and add to jello mixture. Stir in applesauce and lemon flavor. Cover and congeal in 'fridge. Serve in squares on lettuce leaf topped with mayonnaise. Very good with ham or turkey in place of cranberry sauce.
