Directions
birthday. Combine ground beef, onion, and celery in a large skillet; cook until meat is browned. Drain off pan drippings. Add tomato sauce, catsup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and pepper; bring to a boil. Cover sauce, reduce heat, and simmer 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasional pita bread rounds in half; line each pocket with lettuce leaves, if desired, and fill each half with meat sauce. Yield: 4 servings.
