Sangria southern

Ingredients

1Lemon; thinly sliced
1Orange; thinly sliced
1Lime; thinly sliced (up to)
2tablespoonsSugar
1Jigger (1.5-oz) Triple Sec
1Bottle (4/5 quart) dry red wine
½cupClub soda; chilled
Additional lime slices

Directions

Remove seeds from sliced fruit. Place slices in glass pitcher and add 1 to 2 Tablespoons sugar. Allow to stand for a few minutes. Add Triple Sec to sliced fruit. Stir with a wooden spoon, bruising fruit to extract juices.

Add wine. More sugar may be added if desired. Chill. Just before serving, add club soda. Serve over ice and garnish with additional lime slices.

Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
